    Graduate Teacher Conference 2019

    The perfect way to start the school year with confidence! anzuk are excited to announce our third annual graduate teacher conference for 2019. 

    Grad Con 2019 will provide a unique opportunity for graduate teachers to connect with other graduates, hear practical advice from school leaders & experienced educators, gain clarity on the requirements for full VIT registration, develop your professional teaching practice, and explore the pathways for an exciting career in education.

    Lunch is included as well as an anzuk gift bag. 

    Our keynote speakers will include: 

    ~ Robin Grace, the Assistant Principal at Kew Primary School who will help prepare you for what to expect as a graduate teacher going into schools for the first time & how to make a good impression

    ~ a representative from the specialist schools network who will provide insight into the rewarding opportunities in special education & guidance on how to get started in this area of education 

    ~ John Desengano, an outstanding educator who will take you on journey through the Day in the Life of a Casual Relief Teacher 

    ~ a representative from the Victorian Institute of Teaching who will provide key information on how to meet the requirements for full VIT registration and insight into the standards framework

    This year's professional development sessions are aimed to support your transition into the classroom and provide you with practical skills to create calm and engaging classrooms: 

    ~Calm Classrooms delivered by Supreme Incursions

    ~Icebreakers and Engagement Activities for CRTs delivered by Dale Sidebottom of Energetic Education

    The conference will also include a range of representatives from anzuk Education who will provide insight on the diversity of pathways available to establish an exciting and successful career in education including casual relief teaching, contract positions and teaching in the UK.
