Reporting to the Vice Principal, the Head of Wellbeing will be a dynamic and strategic leader committed to developing systemic and cultural change that positively impacts the healthy development and wellbeing of our learning community, and specifically impact learners from K-12.
Caulfield Grammar School is a Visible Wellbeing Foundation School and promoting mental health and wellbeing as an enabler of learning is a key priority. With the responsibility for further developing approaches to wellbeing - including Visible Wellbeing - the successful applicant will strategically lead and support the community and continue to improve mental health and wellbeing aspects of school culture.
The newly appointed Head of Wellbeing will have significant experience in a senior leadership role and experience leading and implementing strategic wellbeing programs. Experience working collaboratively with staff, pastoral care leaders and counsellors, and demonstrated capacity to further embed and monitor practices that actively maintain student health and wellbeing in accordance with the Purpose, Vision, Values and the Caulfield 2031 Strategy will be essential.
- Displaying outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the successful applicant will understand current research on wellbeing programs and specifically how these programs impact students from K – 12.
- A demonstrated capacity to innovate, lead and promote systemic change, along with the ability to promote collegiality, operationalise strategic decisions and embed evidence-based protective factors that promote resilience and positive social behaviours across the school community.
