The School
anzuk are working to support a leading Independent Secondary School on the Upper North Shore in their search for a Director of Gifted and Talented/Learning Enhancement Teacher.

The Role
The emphasis of the Director of Gifted and Talented/Learning Enhancement Teacher is to promote and develop a challenging learning environment for gifted and talented students.
The position works within the Learning Enhancement Team and as a Learning Enhancement Teacher, requires the successful candidate to work collaboratively with subject teachers to differentiate curriculum and make adjustments to assessment tasks. There is a strong emphasis on the Case Management model with 'in class teacher/learner support'/small group teaching.
The school seeks to appoint an experienced Director of Gifted and Talented/Learning Enhancement Teacher who has exemplary classroom practice and is capable of leading a team to maximise educational options for their students. The successful applicant will have knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study/organisation skills and ability to deliver effective targeted interventions.
The position is a dual position, full-time permanent, starting ASAP

Requirements
- Qualifications and/or experience in Special Education with an emphasis on a variety of learning disabilities and supporting students with challenging behaviours.
- Qualifications and experience teaching in secondary setting.
- Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to senior students.
- NESA accreditation or capacity to gain accreditation.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Ability to supply two referees from recent school-based employment or, if newly qualified, your last two placement reports (please note referees will not be contacted prior to your express approval and all applications will be treated in confidence).
