The opportunity:

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and inspire the staff to deliver excellent early years programs and services which are consistent with the priorities and values of HEY and which ensure that the organisation remains financially sustainable and meets all its compliance obligations.

The Executive Director is the senior leadership role supporting the staff to grow their professional skills and provide a progressive, supportive and professional working environment. This person will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of HEY and delivering HEY’s Strategic Plan through engagement with stakeholders. Partnering with the Board, you will take HEY into the future where our children and families develop to their full potential and develop their love of learning.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing early childhood education services, leading change and renewal as well as previous experience with financial systems and managing budgets. 

The Candidate

You will be Diploma or Bachelor qualified Early Years professional with 3+ years’ experience in multi-site management or a centre director with a minimum of five years’ experience who possesses strong business acumen and experience managing large services.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as extensive knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.  In addition, you will have a proven track record in the management of budgets, rosters and policies.
