The New Zealand Government has announced the next steps in re-opening our borders. Fully vaccinated New Zealanders will find it easier to come home from January 2022, with foreign nationals to follow from April onwards, as managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) requirements are removed for most travellers.
? Working with ANZUK Education:
We’re excited to learn about this announcement. It’s a positive sign for New Zealand schools and early childhood centres and our international teachers. We’re still waiting for the finer details of the border re-opening before we support more overseas-trained teachers.
Right now, our priority is the current Border Exception. A limited number of schools meet the exception criteria, so our consultants prioritise educators who match our client schools/centres for Term 1 start dates. With borders opening from 30 April 2022, we will be working with our schools/centres to support their needs from Term 2 onwards.
