ANZUK’s recruitment services are free of charge for teachers. If you are working with ANZUK to find a role – permanent, fixed-term, contract or relief – this does not cost you anything.

You can work as an unregistered early childhood relief teacher alongside registered teachers in early childhood centres.

In New Zealand, all classroom teachers must be registered, whether in a permanent role or relief work. A current practising certificate—Provisional, Subject to Confirmation, or Full—qualifies you as a registered teacher.

If you are an employee of ANZUK (i.e. doing early childhood work through us), then we pay you using an online time sheet system. You will normally receive a payslip on the Tuesday following your work week and will be paid by Wednesday or Thursday.

If you are working as a primary or secondary classroom teacher, then you will be paid by the schools directly. If you work at a state school, then you will be paid by EdPay. If you work at a private school, then the schools will add you to their payroll system and pay you directly.

We place permanent teachers everywhere in New Zealand.

Relief teaching through ANZUK  is currently available in Auckland and Wellington.

Initially, you may get mostly morning calls about work. Once you have started to get to know some of our schools we may start calling or texting you about bookings in advance. We contact you directly about bookings rather than sending out bulk messages. We will always confirm with you before placing you into a booking. When exactly you are notified about work depends on your circumstances.
