Strengthening local partnerships and long-term impact across the South West of England

  • Reinforcing ANZUK’s commitment to sustainable growth in the region
  • Expanding support for schools through aligned values and community-led recruitment

[Bristol, UK – 20 January] ANZUK Education, the global education recruitment specialist, has today announced the acquisition of Apple A Day, a respected boutique supply agency that has supported schools across the South West of England for almost 20 years.

Founded with a strong reputation for quality, care, and deep local relationships, Apple A Day has become a trusted partner to schools throughout the region. The acquisition represents a strategic investment by ANZUK in the South West, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth, community-led recruitment, and making a meaningful impact in education.

Apple A Day will continue to operate under its existing brand in the short term, with a gradual transition to ANZUK branding and systems planned by summer 2026. Schools and educators can expect continuity of service, strengthened by access to ANZUK’s wider resources, networks, and professional development opportunities.

Founder Gemma Edgar will continue to lead Apple A Day, working in close partnership with ANZUK’s UK leadership team to accelerate growth across the South West while maintaining the agency’s local-first approach.”

“Apple A Day has always been about relationships, trust, and doing the right thing by schools and educators,” said Gemma Edgar, Founder of Apple A Day.
“I’ve been approached many times over the years, but ANZUK stood out because our values truly align. This partnership allows us to grow our impact in the South West while staying true to who we are.”

ANZUK leadership described the acquisition as a natural fit, built on shared values and a long-term vision for education.

“Apple A Day has built something special in the South West — strong partnerships, an excellent reputation, and a people-first culture,” said James Sanders, Co-CEO Scoot & ANZUK Education.
“By bringing our teams together, we’re investing in the region, supporting local educators, and ensuring schools have access to consistent, high-quality staffing now and into the future.”

The acquisition reflects ANZUK’s broader vision to grow responsibly, strengthen regional expertise, and support uninterrupted learning by connecting schools with the right educators at the right time.
