APSCo Compliance+ Accredited

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has developed Compliance+ to provide an uncompromising quality benchmark for Education companies. It is the best practice quality standard for Education recruitment businesses and compels members to go beyond statutory safeguarding standards and aim for excellence in competency selection and service quality.

We at anzuk Education Ltd are proud to hold a Compliance+ accreditation and continue to endeavour to provide the highest quality educators.

Why Compliance+?

  • Safeguarding which goes beyond statutory requirements designed to help safeguard and improve outcomes for children.
  • An annual independent audit process undertaken by a professional body to confirm consistency with safeguarding.
  • Ensures competency and suitability of every candidate placed.
  • Value-based, safer recruitment training requirement for staffing professionals recognised as certificated standard by the CCS.

Compliance+ covers two areas:

Safeguarding which covers all safeguarding and child protection activities undertaken when we are putting a candidate into a school. Competency which goes beyond the safety of a candidate and looks to ensure that anzuk is providing the best, most appropriate and highest quality candidate. As part of our on-going dedication and commitment to the safeguarding of children, please find below a comprehensive guide to the anzuk vetting process.

As a client school, you can be confident that any practicing employee of anzuk Education will have gone through the following vetting procedures. All documents are held on file and are available to schools upon request.

  • We endeavour to obtain reference checks for the previous 2 years employment prior to commencement of any assignment.
  • An enhanced DBS (UK Police Check) is applied for or copied (if registered on the update service).
  • Overseas Police Checks are obtained from any country the educator has lived/worked in for 12 months or more, in the last 10 years.
  • Prohibition Check is completed for all registered Teachers.
  • Each educator is checked against the list of ‘teachers and others prohibited from the profession’.
  • Each individual is interviewed face to face by an experienced consultant to ascertain their suitability as an anzuk worker.
  • Each individual is required to complete CPD certified training on Safeguarding & Prevent via Safesmart.
  • As confirmation of an assignment, the school will receive a 1-page vetting document via email highlighting the various checks, personal details and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • The educator will always carry photo ID on the first day of any assignment.
  • Each educator is provided with guidance notes on Safeguarding and the link to the government guidance on Keeping Children Safe in Education.
