The Role of a Computing Teacher: - Teach Computer Science and iMedia lessons to KS3 and KS4
- Fixed-term role until the end of this academic year, starting June 5th, with the potential to extend. The school are currently recruiting for this role so may become permanent for the right educator
- Lesson content includes programming, databases, the origin of the internet, game design, digital photography and graphics
- Undertake planning, marking and assessment of student work, reporting back to colleagues and parents
- Conduct assessments for GCSE students, including coursework
- The timetable includes 5 lessons in Business Studies and DT (pre-planned)
The Ideal Computing Teacher Will: - Be confident in teaching Computer Science to KS3 and KS4
- Have knowledge of the AQA syllabus for CS and CNAT for iMedia is desirable
- Explain key concepts in these courses clearly, ensuring students comprehend lesson content prior to engaging with software such as Python
- Adapt teaching to suit the learning needs of students, including those with SEND
- Hold a teaching qualification (with QTS) or equivalent
- NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply
