Construction Teacher

anzuk are working with one of client schools in South Somerset who are looking for a Construction Teacher / Tutor from January 2022


anzuk Education are excited to be working in partnership with a terrific secondary school in Somerset to recruit a part time Construction Teacher. 

About the School:

  • This oversubscribed school is located in South Somerset and caters for children aged 11-16
  • Proven track record and consistent improvement in GCSE results
  • 97% of students post KS4 stay in education or go straight into employment
  • The school has recently embarked on a significant rebuild and modernisation of their premises 
  • Participate in a wide range of activities outside of the classroom inc sports, music, drama, arts and Duke of Edinburgh award scheme
  • Aims and objectives are evident in every day life at the school
About the Role:

This role would suit a Engineering or Design Technology teacher or a Lecturer of Construction. 
  • Part Time (0.7) Design Construction teacher / Tutor 
  • To start in either January 2022 or Easter 2022
  • Full-time Technician in class to support
  • Friendly, polite and eager to learn students
  • Teaching Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 
The successful educator will have the following attributes: 
  • A recognised vocational assessing qualification (i.e. CAVA, A1/A2 or D31/32)
  • Industry relevant qualification(s) at Level 3 or above
  • Experience of qualification delivery & management at Levels 1 and 2
  • The ability to offer related practical learning courses
  • ICT skills suitable to computer aided delivery styles, ICT based lessons and workbook preparation
  • The ability to manage behaviour within the classroom
