PE Teacher

A Secondary School in Bristol is looking for a Qualified PE Teacher to join their supportive team. It is Ofsted rated 'Good', and successfully caters for a large number of students with a range of abilities from diverse backgrounds. Leaders and teachers ensure that students are well supported, make good progress and go on to positive education or training destinations.

The Role of a PE Teacher:
  • Plan for and deliver PE lessons to KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students' understanding of health and nutrition
  • Build on students' abilities in a variety of sports, enabling students to compete across the city/country!
  • Follow the school's behaviour management system to set up the best environments that put education at the heart of all interactions, both in the classroom and out
  • Deliver PSHE/Values lessons to your own tutor group, aligning with the whole school's pastoral curriculum
The Ideal PE Teacher Will:
  • Be personable and engaging, creating fun and dynamic learning environments
  • Hold a Teaching qualification (with QTS) or equivalent
  • Have strong communication and listening skills
  • Motivate students to excel in various settings, upholding high standards and positive growth-mindsets
  • Have strong behaviour management skills 
  • NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply
