We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to join a nursery in Wandsworth and make a significant impact on the lives of young learners in the early years. As a preschool teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of children aged 3 to 5 years, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of pre-schoolers in the early years.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independent thinking.
- Foster the social and emotional growth of children by promoting positive behavior, conflict resolution skills, and empathy.
- Provide individualized support to children with varying abilities and learning styles, ensuring all students can thrive.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to facilitate a seamless educational experience for each child.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure the health and safety of all students by adhering to appropriate guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Hold a recognized teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Have a genuine passion for early years education and a strong understanding of child development.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate creativity and adaptability in developing innovative teaching methods and materials.
- Exhibit patience, compassion, and a nurturing nature to support the social and emotional well-being of preschoolers.
- Show a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest educational practices.
