Job Responsibilities:
As a Science Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the science department. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Experiment Setups: Assist teachers in preparing and setting up experiments for various science classes, ensuring all materials and equipment are readily available.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and manage science equipment and resources, ensuring they are in good working condition and safely stored.
  3. Inventory Management: Keep track of the inventory of chemicals, laboratory supplies, and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the science laboratories, including safe storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
  5. Classroom Support: Provide support to science teachers during lessons and help students with practical experiments.
Qualifications:
  • Science knowledge and experience, particularly in chemistry, biology, or physics, is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Science Technician in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
