Primary Schools supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Bristol are looking for Qualified Teachers to join their friendly, caring and supportive environments. These schools aim to encourage all  children to learn and develop into well-rounded pupils ready for the challenges of the 21st century. Importantly, they seek enthusiastic, resilient, highly motivated people whose practice will enable the students to achieve these essential skills and qualifications.

The Role:
  • Flexible roles with an immediate start: day to day or long term / full or part time
  • Planning, delivering and marking a range of subjects, both core and vocational
  • Working with smaller classes of KS1 & KS2 students who have a range of SEND 
  • Monitoring, recording and analysing all students welfare in regards to learning and mental health
  • Implementing structured and bespoke intervention programmes that drive personal, social, emotional and academic development 
  • Complying with confidentiality and safeguarding procedures 
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Will have experience working with vulnerable young people in a variety of settings
  • Will have knowledge of how to meet the needs of students with a range of SEND difficulties
  • Specific SEND/Mental Health training such as Team Teach would be beneficial but not essential
  • Will be flexible, enthusiastic, and have an interest in teaching a range of subjects
  • Hold the appropriate degree, UK QTS or equivalent and a valid right to work in the UK
