Science Teacher
A large and successful school in the heart of Bristol is seeking a Science Teacher to join their team from September 2023. You'll have a passion for teaching all science specialisms, with an ability to explain tricky concepts clearly, succinctly and with ease, ensuring students remain inquisitive about the world around them and motivated to investigate further!
The Role of a Science Teacher: - Plan for and deliver Science lessons to KS3 and KS4
- Develop students' understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Deliver practical lessons, ensuring proper use of lab equipment and reagents
- Regularly assess students across all specialisms, in order to identify areas of development for intervention or revision
- Deliver PSHE/Values lessons to your own tutor group, aligning with the whole school's pastoral curriculum
The Ideal Science Teacher Will: - Be a confident communicator, enabling young people to develop confidence in this subject
- Be confident in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Hold a Teaching qualification (with QTS) or equivalent
- Encourage in young people the belief that anything can be achieved
- Have a vast array of teaching and differentiation methods to hand, ensuring students of all abilities can access lesson content
