anzuk are currently seeking trained and/or experienced Special Needs teacher for opportunities across Primary and Secondary curriculum in Special Developmental Schools located in the South West.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning difficulties or disabilities, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of these students by providing individualized support and delivering engaging lessons that foster their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Provide support and guidance to students to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and support staff, to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote student engagement and progress.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to parents and relevant professionals.
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Stay updated with the latest developments in special education and implement best practices within the classroom.

Application requirements:

Current and relevant CV outlining recent teaching experience

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Specialization or experience in special education or working with students with special educational needs.
Strong knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities and strategies to support students.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and their families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and professionals.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Commitment to inclusion and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
