Special Needs (SEN) Teachers | Long Term Role| South West London

anzuk are currently seeking trained and/or experienced Special Needs teacher for opportunities across Primary and Secondary curriculum in Special Developmental Schools located in the South West.  

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning difficulties or disabilities, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of these students by providing individualized support and delivering engaging lessons that foster their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and support staff, to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote student engagement and progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to parents and relevant professionals.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in special education and implement best practices within the classroom.
Application requirements:

Current and relevant CV outlining recent teaching experience
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialization or experience in special education or working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities and strategies to support students.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Commitment to inclusion and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
