A great school in the Falklands is offering Secondary Teaching positions on 1,2 or 3 year contracts.
ANZUK is working alongside a Falkland school to recruit a variety of teachers The School is a comprehensive school that provides secondary level education for all students (220) aged 11-16 in the Falkland Islands.
It is the schools aim that all students are supported to reach their potential and leave as happy, curious and well-rounded individuals with the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need for the next stage in their lives. The students are at the center of all that they do as a school.
The school is seeking to recruit enthusiastic, creative and experienced Key Stage 3 and 4 teachers. They are especially interested in candidates who have the flexibility to teach across subjects at Key Stage 3 . The school is happy to support successful applicants who have taught in Key Stage 2 and wish to broaden their teaching experience into secondary education.
The successful applicant will join a well-resourced school with a supportive staff team, small class sizes and students who are keen to learn.
The improvement in standards at the school is on an upward trajectory. There is a strong focus on developing staff, with much CPD focused on teaching and learning, alongside clear rationales for the curriculum and reporting. The KS3 curriculum has been developed and reviewed. The school has achieved a positive Progress 8 score for the last three years.
We are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Key Stage 3 who:
• is a graduate teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (recognisable in UK) who has completed their ECF induction and has 1 or more years post ECF successful experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or 3 at a good or better standard.
• is focused on teaching and learning, helping students achieve high levels of progress in a positive and effective learning environment.
• is a flexible team player and able to adapt to working in a small school and island community.
• is able to efficiently manage resources and support staff to ensure students receive the support they require.
• is able to contribute to the development of PSHE, pastoral life and extra curriculum opportunities.
The Package:

• Eligibility for a 25% gratuity payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract (Takes earning PA to £52,045)
