A great school in South Bristol, part of a large and supportive MAT is seeking a Teacher of Food Technology to join their team for the new academic year. If you have the passion and drive to educate students in being able to cook wonderful meals, creatively use any ingredient and develop vital life skills then apply now!

The Role of a Teacher of Food Technology:

Teach Food Technology lessons at KS3 and KS4 within the DT department
TLR is available for the right Food Technology Teacher looking to lead the subject
Ample time is given during the week for PPA
Conduct practical lessons, ensuring cookware and apparatus are used correctly and safely
Undertake planning, marking and assessment of student work, reporting back to colleagues and parents

The Ideal Educator Will:

Be confident in teaching Food Tech and Nutrition to KS3 and KS4 levels
Hold a teaching qualification (PGCE/ QTS)
Have knowledge of the AQA syllabus
Have strong communication and coaching skills, increasing student confidence in this option subject
Adapt teaching to suit the learning needs of their students
Have strong behaviour management skills
NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply
