PRU TEACHING ASSISTANTS - work available immediately!
An array of primary and secondary settings, based in South West London & Surrey. Schools are located in Ashford, Staines, Hersham, Woking, Merstham, Redhill to name a few.
Students at these schools display varying emotional behavioural difficulties and Special Education needs including, but not limited to ADHD, ASD and dyslexia. The focus is on working closely with students and supporting their engagement with their education, and working towards re-integration into Mainstream Schools. All schools can all be accessed via London underground and South West rail links.
Teaching Assistants required on a full-time basis or casual basis. The right candidates for these positions will have an ability to build relationships with children from varying backgrounds, whilst focusing support on literacy and numeracy needs. You will be required 1:1 or in a small classroom environment, where there is generally no more than 10 students. Full training and support will be provided by experienced SEN teachers and support staff who have key knowledge of the student base.
No experience is necessary, but any suitable background in working with children, particularly those with special educational needs is advantageous. Key skills include a positive attitude, resilience and the ability to build rapport with students.
