anzuk education is currently seeking teaching assistant to work in our Primary schools in the Neath Port Talbot area.

Teaching Assistant in Neath

We are looking for highly motivated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our team in a Neath-based school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to children enabling them to access the curriculum and make progress.

Responsibilities:

Working with children on a one-to-one or small group basis, supporting them in their learning and development
Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons and activities that meet the needs of the children
Supporting children with physical, emotional or behavioural difficulties
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supporting children with personal care and hygiene, where necessary
Monitoring and recording children's progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals as required

Requirements:

Experience working with children within a school or similar setting
Knowledge and understanding of different learning needs and how to support them effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability
A willingness to undertake training and development as required
An enhanced DBS disclosure and relevant qualifications are essential
