The Role
 
The school is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join its dynamic Science Faculty from August 2026. You will teach Design Technology to students aged 11-18, including those in the IB Diploma Programme or equivalent post-16 courses.
 
Key Responsibilities include;

  • Deliver engaging and innovative DT lessons
  • Support students in developing design thinking through real-world problem solving
  • Teach product design with a focus on sustainability
  • Develop student skills across:
    • Materials (wood, metal, plastics)
    • Graphics and digital design
    • Integrated ICT and computing
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental innovation
  • Support the wider school programme, including exhibitions and co-curricular activities

You will join a collaborative and creative team with opportunities to lead initiatives and contribute to ongoing curriculum development.
 
Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Technology or a related subject
  • UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching IB Diploma, A Level, or equivalent post-16 programmes
  • Experience in a student-centred, holistic learning environment
  • Evidence of involvement in exhibitions or project-based learning
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life
  • Experience in an international or innovative school setting
  • Please note: due to Brunei immigration regulations, applications cannot be accepted from candidates over the age of 54.
