Serving students from Early Years through Year 12, with approximately 200 students (capacity 350), the school caters to a diverse demographic: 60% expatriate families and 40% local Indonesian families.

Position Overview 
 
The school is seeking a passionate, experienced Early Years and Primary Literacy Teacher to join a close-knit team. The ideal candidate will embrace creativity, adaptability, and a holistic approach to teaching, while valuing collaboration and progressive education. 
 
The role is to teach and support literacy across Early Years and Primary school. this would include storytelling, early literacy skills and EAL.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lesson planning and preparation. 
  • Identifying key learning objectives and outcomes. 
  • Record keeping and report writing. 
  • Providing emotional, social and academic support to all students. 
  • Maintaining communication channels with parents. 
  • Attending meetings and professional development. 
  • Planning or supporting the organisation of events. 
  • Working in collaboration with other staff members. 
  • Documenting student progress and communicating with parents. 
  • Complying with state, school, and class rules and regulations. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education  
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience (visa requirement). 
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum pedagogy, and a preference for candidates with some Māori cultural experience. 
  • Excellent classroom management and instructional skills. 
  • Compassionate, positive attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills. 
  • Collaborative and adaptable educators who thrive in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Teachers who value creativity, progressive education, and holistic child development. 

Salary & Benefits 

  • Competitive salary around IDR 50,000,000 a month (approx.$5200NZD), allowing a comfortable living standard in Jakarta. No taxes are deducted from salary, the school pays taxes. There is a small deduction for BPJS which is an Indonesian pension scheme and national health programme.

    • Flights: Relocation flights (including family) and annual return flight for teacher only to their home country (or get the cash equivalent).
    • Housing allowance: IDR 14,000,000 a month / IDR 16,000,000 for teachers with kids

    • Bonus: 1 month basic salary after 12 months of service
