Requirements
The school is seeking an exceptional Head of Mathematics to commence in post in August 2026. This is an important post, leading a talented and experienced team of Mathematics specialists.
Fully qualified with at least 5 years of relevant teaching experience, previous experience leading a department.
The ability to teach to A-level would be an advantage, an interest in teaching AP would also be of interest., and/or international or British education systems
Experience teaching the relevant age group and raising student achievement
Confident using ICT and data to support learning outcomes
Experience creating engaging learning environments and contributing to school life (including extracurriculars)
Ideally experienced with EAL students
Strong teaching skills that improve student achievement
Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Able to manage change, work under pressure, and collaborate within teams
Capable of inspiring students and staff, and managing student behaviour positively
Knowledge of child development, positive discipline, and goal-setting for student success
Skilled in engaging with students and families while prioritising child safety
Acts as a role model with strong integrity, professionalism, and adherence to the school’s code of conduct
Motivated, collaborative, and empathetic, with a genuine commitment to staff and student wellbeing
Dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting a safe, supportive learning environment
