Tanglin Trust School is an Independent International School based in Singapore. Their new residential Gippsland campus, based in the picturesque town of Rawson, is seeking a Science teacher for a full-time on-going position commencing in February, 2026.
About the school and the role
Tanglin Trust School is an international school located in One-North, Singapore, catering to expatriate students aged 3-18 in accordance with Cambridge and IB curriculum.
The new Gippsland campus follows Tanglin Singapore’s school year, based on the Northern Hemisphere calendar, and operates on a modified 7-day timetable. This allows for a combination of classroom-based learning and outdoor education in the Victorian Alps, promoting an experiential curriculum. While the current course work is primarily focussed on Biology, there is considerable potential for the development of an Environmental Science program with an emphasis on sustainability.
The main focus at the Gippsland campus is the Highlands Programme, a five-week residential experience for Year 9 students, curiosity, confidence, and community.
All teachers are required to live on site, lead hiking and field work trips, work a rotating roster including overnight supervision and travel to attend the Singapore campus to collect and return the Year 9 students for the programme.
Other year levels will also attend the campus periodically throughout the year and you would be required to teach Science in accordance to their needs.
The role involves 40 weeks of on-campus work per year on a rotating roster, including seven-day coverage and overnight supervision, with flexibility outside program periods and 12 weeks of annual leave.
