A prestigious British international school in Beijing is seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Head of Upper School (Pastoral) to join its senior leadership team.
Founded in 2005 and part of a highly regarded family of British schools, the school offers a British-style international education for students aged 2 to 18, combining the English National Curriculum with international and Chinese elements, and culminating in IGCSEs and A-Levels that prepare students for leading universities worldwide.
The school is known for its academic rigour, strong pastoral culture, traditional house system and commitment to holistic education.
The Role
The Deputy Head of Upper School (Pastoral) provides strategic leadership of student wellbeing, behaviour, safeguarding and pastoral systems across the Upper School. Working closely with the Head of Upper School, the post holder will lead a house-based pastoral structure, act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, and play a central role in ensuring every student is known, supported and able to thrive.
This role could suit an experienced pastoral or wellbeing leader ready to step into a leadership position within a high-quality British international context.
