What is your current role – Recruitment Consultant

What was your journey like getting to this role? – I worked in the construction industry straight after studying a Bsc in psychology. Trying to find work amidst the first wave of lockdowns was a bit tricky but I knew someone in the industry who helped me out. I landed up learning how to build swimming pools and spas before signing on with anzuk. It was by no means a clear-cut journey but here we are!

Favourite book – Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl

Favourite quote – This is hard, I have a few actually. 1- ” The only certainties in life are death and taxes, everything else is subject to change. Do not be afraid, embrace it” (Alex Taplin) now I am unsure if he made it up or got it from something he read but he is the only person I have ever heard say it? and I think a close number 2 – two lines from my favorite poem Invictus by William Earnest Henley “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”

Favourite country to visit – Home (South Africa) ever since moving to Aus I have come to appreciate and view the wild and wonderful things that my country of birth has to offer. I haven’t been back in nearly three years so that may have biased the old answer a little bit.
