FAQs before you have registered:

What documents do I need to register?

  • Covid-19 Infection Control certificate – we’ll send you a link to the online training
  • Anaphylaxis training certificates
  • 100 Points of ID, recommended:
  • Passport/Australian birth certificate
  • Driver’s License
  • WWC number
  • NESA accreditation – teachers only
  • Tax & Super forms
  • Proof of right to work in Australia – Australia passport, Birth certificate or citizenship certificate or Visa
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood/Teaching – or underway for OOHC
  • To work in department schools you require the following (It is separate application to NESA but you can only apply after obtaining your NESA)
  • DET number (about a month from application) and several certificates
  • DET Anaphylaxis
  • DET e-Emergency
  • 2021 Mandatory Child Protection Training – updated at the start of every year
  • Data Breach Preparedness Training

What references do I need?

2 up to date references (Principal class for experienced teachers, Mentor teachers for teaching graduates, Education references for TAs & OOHC, Director/2IC & supervisory for EC educators and teachers)

What will I be paid?

You will be paid in accordance with your experience. This is determined by your number of days teaching and can be calculated by providing a Statement of Service from either the Department of Education if government or the school’s HR department if non-government.

What is the registration process?

  • Initial screen (get to know a bit about you, what you’re looking for)
  • Reference checking

If successful, registration process which is made up of:

  • Face to face meeting either over video call or in person
  • Gathering of compliance documents and signing the employment paperwork
  • Compliance checks
  • Activation + welcome email

How will I be informed about work?

Initially, you may get mostly morning calls about work. Once you have started to get to know some of our schools we may start calling or texting you about bookings in advance. We contact you directly about bookings rather than sending out bulk messages. We will always confirm with you before placing you into a booking. When exactly you are notified about work depends on your circumstances.

Why am I not active?

You may not have provided all the mandatory items.

What items are mandatory and what aren’t?

Mandatory:

  • DET requirements as listed above IF you want to work in department schools

Non-Mandatory:

  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Asthma
  • Statements of Service

Who is my consultant?

You will receive an email from your consultant introducing themselves.

How long does it take for me to get active?

Once all compliance documents have been received, your profile will be sent to our Business Services team and typically you’ll be made active within a few days at most.
