Join a large primary school, which is a part of a larger Academy dedicated to innovation and excellence based near Wellington, Somerset. We’re seeking an outstanding and experienced classroom teacher to cover maternity leave in this forward-thinking school. With a vision of success through collaboration, our large school boasts over 300 students and offers an exciting environment for growth and achievement.
 
Class Teacher Role Overview:

Contract length: Maternity cover, starting in September 2024 – June 2025
Pay scale: Starting at £130 – £211.96 per day
 
As a Class Teacher, you’ll be at the heart of the schools commitment to student success. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting high expectations for pupil achievement and behavior
• Placing children at the forefront of every decision, ensuring they are challenged and motivated to excel
• Embracing creativity, collaboration, and positivity in your interactions with colleagues
• Demonstrating a passion for learning and teaching
• Adapting innovatively and utilizing diverse teaching styles to engage students effectively

Requirements of the class teacher:

• Maintain an Enhanced Child DBS with an update service subscription, or demonstrate the willingness to apply for one through anzuk            
• Hold a recognised teaching qualification such as QTS                          
• Ability to teach KS1/2 effectively                                                       
• Must hold the current and valid Right to Work in the UK                      
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
