English Teacher (Literature and Language)

Are you enthusiastic about sparking creativity and nurturing curiosity in young learners? Your search ends here! We’re on the lookout for a committed English Teacher to join the dynamic team at Bristol Secondary School starting as soon as possible. This position serves as interim cover for an open vacancy, with the exciting possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

As an English Teacher you will have:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in English education
  • Proficiency in delivering the UK National Curriculum for English
  • Experience teaching English language and literature at the secondary school level
  • Familiarity with assessment frameworks and examination boards relevant to English GCSE and A-level qualifications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a diverse English department team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover interim teaching assignments as required
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and enhancement of teaching practices
