Role: Teaching Assistant

This is a term-time only, 1:1 Teaching Assistant contract role starting after the Easter holiday and finishing in July 2024.

anzuk are excited to be partnered with a small one form entry primary school with excellent facilities as well as its own nursery class, special needs support centre and situated within the National Trust’s Surrey Hills. They have been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in every category and are looking for an ‘Outstanding’ Teaching Assistant to continue to nurture and support the development of the students and the school.

The Role:
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with Special Education Needs.
- Encourage student to interact with peers and engage in activities led by the teacher.
- As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will assist in the development of appropriate resources and materials to support the learning needs of SEND student
- Monitor and help to record the progress and achievements of SEND student, reporting to the SENCo and parents where necessary
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students
The Ideal candidate will:
- Have demonstrated a passion and interest for working in education or a similar setting with children
- Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
- Have a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Be a reflective and engaging educator with the drive to make a positive difference in children’s lives
- Be punctual and organised
- Be able to build rapport with students and staff easily, cultivating a community with strong core values
- Have experience working with or show a willingness to work with SEND students
