About the HLTA Role:

Join the school as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and immerse yourself in the enriching SEND provision, focusing on supporting a group of children in Reception.

Your Mission:

Empower every student, no matter the need, to fully engage with the enriching curriculum.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conducting targeted small group and 1:1 interventions to boost individual student development.
  • Assisting in classroom setup and maintaining an environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborating on activity planning and material preparation to ensure curriculum accessibility.
  • Taking the lead and providing support for class, group, and individual activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Monitoring student progress, evaluating achievements, and communicating outcomes with class teachers.

What you need for this HLTA role:

  • Hold an Enhanced Child workforce DBS with an update service subscription, or be willing to apply for one 
  • A degree qualification in any area
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND
  • Hold current and valid Right to Work status in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role)
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and excellent classroom management
