About the Unqualified Teacher role:

Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 1 year maternity contract with opportunities to become permanent
 
As a Unqualified Teacher, you’ll play an integral role in the school’s daily activities, contributing to the exceptional support provided to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your role will be to ensure that every student, regardless of their individual needs, actively engages with and benefits from our enriching curriculum. Your responsibilities 

  • Conducting small group and one-on-one interventions to support individual student progress.
  • Assisting in classroom arrangement and fostering a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborating on activity planning and preparing materials to enhance curriculum accessibility.
  • Taking the lead and offering assistance in various class, group, and individual activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Tracking student progress, assessing achievements, and liaising with class teachers to communicate outcomes.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Possession of an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS with an update service subscription, or readiness to apply for one
  • A degree qualification in any field
  • Demonstratable prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Valid and current Right to Work status in the UK
  • Effective communication skills and adept classroom management abilities
