What is your current role – People & Growth Consultant
What was your journey like getting to this role? I taught PE in London for 5 years before joining as a Consultant in the NW Schools Team. I’ve since worked in nearly every role on the UK side – Whilst transitioning into the P&G team, I also supported Compliance & Resource part-time for 6 months.
What does a typical day look like for you? It varies but generally, it will be a team catch up in the morning to set our priorities for the day, screening and interviewing potential a-teamers, organising internal team activities, meetings and always a bit of admin.
What did you do before this? PE Teacher
Favourite podcast? Fake Doctors Real friends – Scrubs rewatch podcast or Off Menu with Ed Gamble & James Acaster
Favourite book? It changes but my current fave is Women Don’t Owe You Pretty by Florence Given. I wish I had read this as a teenage girl – so empowering!
What do you do when you’re not working? Work or Train (I’m also a PT – hit me up if you need a trainer ?)
Favourite BE GREAT value? Team & Empower – Team because working together and collaborating almost always brings greater results and Empower because it allows myself and others to gain the tools & skills to grow.
Favourite quote? “Nothing in this world worth having comes easy.”
What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining anzuk? You won’t regret it. It is genuinely the best place I have ever worked, everyone wants you to succeed, believes in our purpose and it’s fun!
