Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant – Croydon
We are looking for an experienced Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Croydon. This full time position is required to start asap, ideally in November until July 2024. The school would ideally like an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant but would also consider applications from those those with experience of working with children in alternative settings with a desire to work in the education sector.

The Role of an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant:
- The position is for an Early years SEN teaching assistant to work with primarily two children in the reception class
- You will work alongside the SEN team and closely with the students to achieve their educational goals
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of their lessons when needed
- The class has a ‘high needs cohort’, 6 non verbal children
- Have input in class planning, supervision and assessment of the children you are working with
- Working hours from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Full time role starting asap – July 2024
What do you need:
- Have an understanding of the Early Years curriculum
- Must be comfortable with toilet training, toileting and personal care
- Must have experience with SEN children
- Hold an Enhanced Child workforce DBS with an update service subscription, or be willing to apply for one through anuzk
- Have a full updated CV, outlining employment covering the last two years – any gaps in employment must be accounted for
- References to cover the past two years
