Salary: £214.82 to £278.66 p/day, depending on experience

Contract Type: Maternity Cover

Start date: April 2024

About the school:

anzuk is collaborating with a three-form entry primary school in Kingsbury to recruit an experienced Year 1 Teacher. This is a maternity cover position and would start in April 2024 for approx. 1 year.

The school is a large, diverse community of staff and students. They highly value collaboration and critical thinking and do their utmost to develop the childrens’ characters. The school are also passionate about protecting the planet and have a team of Eco Warriors to help them work towards being a Zero Carbon School.

Year 1 Teacher Job Description:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Conduct assessments, provide timely feedback, and track student progress
• Establishing strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
• Safeguard the well-being of children, adults, and staff consistently

The Ideal Year 1 Teacher will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Hold a recent and clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Demonstrate a track record of successful experience working with primary-aged students
• Have knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Primary curriculum
