This Leading Independent School located in the Hawthorn area of the leafy Eastern Suburbs presents a fantastic opportunity for a Kindergarten Teacher to join a wonderful team. This “Exceeding” ELC has an unlimited supply of beautiful resources and additional space.

The Opportunity:

In your role as Early Childhood Teacher you will support your team of educators in creating an exceptional and personalised Reggio inspired program and promote high quality educational experiences for the children in your care each day. 

The room operates over ratio, with 20 children in the funded 3 YO Kindergarten program.

You will receive excellent benefits, including Independent School Enterprise agreement, exceptional amounts of planning time (11.25 hours), school holidays and additional cultural holidays, and the opportunity to work as part of a stable and passionate team.

Who are we looking for ?

To be considered for this position you will have:

• Ideally a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in ECE
• Highly desired- previous teaching experience at an Independent School or Sessional Kindergarten
• In depth knowledge of the VEYLF and NQS and a comprehensive understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy
• Strong communication skills
• Contribute to the community
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or ACECQA approved equivalent 
• Current VIT registration
• Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis
