The School
anzuk are working with a highly regarded, co-educational Independent School located in the north – western suburbs of Melbourne. The school has a reputation for its outstanding reputation for excellence, enabling students to develop with confidence and independence.
The Role and You
The school seeking a part-time (0.6FTE) Learning Development & Support teacher that is committed to ongoing learning and holistic education to teach and support students with diverse learning needs across Years 5-8. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and student-centered, with a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
The ideal educator will have an understanding of diverse learning and physical needs and abilities, empathy for individual student needs, confidence in providing targeted literacy and numeracy intervention, and competence with digital technologies. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and attention to data integrity and record-keeping are key for this role.
Your responsibilities will involve using evidence-based methods to create engaging individualised learning programs for students. You’ll ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment, maintain legal documentation, and demonstrate exemplary teaching practices, while also participating in professional development and staff meetings. You will collaborate with colleagues, parents and stakeholders regarding student progress, support and needs.
